All About Me

PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED IN PASTRY ARTS MANAGEMENT WITH AN ONTARIO GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN ADVANCED CHOCOLATE AND CONFECTIONERY ARTISTRY.

I decided to leap into the world of plant-based Ice Cream, Chocolate, and Confections with my venture, Thompsons Tasty Treats. Currently, I am enrolled in my second year at Durham College for Business - Entrepreneurship and Small Business Diploma Program to further my career and fuel my passion.

 Welcome, my name is Tanya Thompson. Thompsons Tasty Treats was created to unleash my passion and creativity for desserts and treats especially with local and Caribbean fruits. I have always loved creating or watching my mother create her Grenadian desserts and much more in her kitchen since I was about 8 years old, maybe even younger. As the years went by, my taste buds began craving more flavours and unique tastes, this was the beginning of my journey as a Pastry Chef.

 

My company was created to bring bold flavours and tasty treats to your kitchen and special events so that you can indulge with family and friends over desserts that add nutrition into your daily life and good conversation. You can also curl up with a half-pint of Thompsons Tasty Treats plant-based ice cream and your special journal writing about your day.

My  Philosophy

Is to create raw & plant-based chocolate, ice cream, and confections to serve you and educate the community about food because what we eat and where it comes from matters.
